About the event

Join us for a facilitated, virtual, community conversation to begin exploring our own experiences, perspectives, and blind spots about race and racism. How can we as a community start to unravel such complex and deeply rooted challenges? Using a virtual and inclusive format, we will discover what happens when we confront difficult topics with open and humble hearts. REGISTRATION

Facilitators:  Monique Pillow Gnanaratnam has worked in the field of Higher  Education as a Student Affairs Administrator for over 25 years,  supporting students in their growth and development throughout their college years She believes that engaging in conversation is a key factor in our ability to connect and determine the next steps. A resident of  Reading, she has served on several town committees and volunteered for various community efforts. Monique has enjoyed participating in the  Pulse of Reading Community Conversation programs.

Deborah Gilburg is a facilitator and practitioner of participatory methodologies that promote inclusive conversation,  knowledge sharing, collective learning, and collaborative problem-solving. A Reading resident, Deborah is deeply committed to designing engagements that enable people to connect authentically and build capacity to address complex challenges together. Deborah has been a  volunteer for the Reading Pulse Community Conversation project since  2018.
